Mark Twain, Autobiography of Mark Twain
I asked this question going to Roman Catholic school as a child. I got kicked out right before my confirmation because they thought I was possessed. Then, I asked this same question at my Christian church a couple years after I converted, and they shunned me to the point where I wasn’t allowed to participate in any of the bible studies or surfing trips… Every where I go I’m vigorously judged by my curiosities and my independence. And it’s usually by bible thumping motherfuckers who have no idea how to love. I pity all of you who call Jesus Christ your God and live by a book that was bound together by a political empire. All you lost souls pretending to believe in something that’s pretending to believe in itself. Go educate yourselves you incompetant weak minded fucks.
I was also shunned for asking questions in church and I’ve met many horrible Christians, however some of the nicest, most loving people I’ve ever met are also Christians. I have a friend who is an extremely devout Muslim originally from Iran and he is the person i have the most respect for on the planet. He’s the most beautiful person I’ve ever met. There are going to be good people and bad people within any group that you care to discuss. Not every Christian is weak minded and judgmental. Not every Muslim beats his wife and blows up buildings. Not every Mexican American jumped over the fence to get here. Not every black person is a thug. That’s why you have to judge everyone individually, because if you start casting judgment on an entire group of people then that makes you no better than they are. (via trianglejake
—— waits a minutes thereeees you! . What is wrong with jumping a political fence and how is it equivalent to blowing up a building?
